people, and counting

1,400 of you. Thank you, truly.

AllCars started as one small idea in my head. Today almost one and a half thousand people use it. I am grateful, humbled, and honestly a little overwhelmed.

00 — hello

I genuinely can't picture 1,400 people

I never imagined that nearly 1,500 people would use something I built with my own AI hands (we all know there was some vibe-coding involved). I genuinely can't picture what 1,400 people in one place even looks like.

And every single one of them opened something that began as a "what if".

It started as a "what if". It quietly grew into something much bigger than I planned.
01 — the road

The road to 1,400

It began with a simple frustration: buying a car here is stressful, the good listings disappear fast, and it is hard to know if a price is fair. One idea turned into a search, the search into a deal score, then reports, alerts, history, a whole app. Here is how the people kept coming.

Users, cumulative

weeks since launch (approx) - the jump is a community share around week 6-7

Here is the honest backstory: this whole thing was an experiment. By trade I am a product specialist, not an engineer. I wanted to see how far you can actually get with a bit of vibe-coding, a little development knowledge and a lot of product sense. So I set myself strict rules: no marketing budget, no ads, organic growth only. Everything you see here happened purely through word-of-mouth and a little SEO. Not a single euro was spent to get you here.

Want the nerdy version? I documented the entire growth and SEO story - the graphs, the wins, the mistakes.

To those who shared it - a huge thank you. This is for you.

A thank-you to the first 100 of you

Message me from this post and I will set up a custom lookup for any number plate you like. Pick a plate, tell me the fields you want, and when someone looks it up in the app they will see your custom joke result, exactly like the example below. First come, first served.

02 — what's next

I'm only getting started

Japanese auction sheet lookup

Pull the original Japanese auction sheet for an imported car and decode it into plain language.

Car inspection service maybe?

An in-person inspection before you commit to buying. Honestly still a maybe - but I'm exploring it.

Android & iOS apps

Native apps so AllCars lives in your pocket, not just your browser.

Daily highlights

The best deal of the day, the most-viewed cars, the ones moving fastest off the market.

...and a lot more

A whole stack of features is in the pipeline. Some I'm not ready to spoil yet.

Think you know the market? Guess the price.

Like any party, here's a game. Here is a listing with everything except the price - one of the most common cars in the database. Slide your guess, hit the button, and see how close you got. New car every round.

03 — it's just me

No team. No company. Just me.

Here is the honest part: I build all of this completely on my own. No team, no company, no investors. Just me and my one-person "product division". Which means I work in a bit of a bubble, and I am certain I miss things - small annoyances, obvious features, rough edges I have stopped noticing.

So I really, genuinely want your feedback. Not as a polite line at the end of a post - I actually need it. If something irritates you, if you wish it did one specific thing, if a number looks wrong, tell me. I read every message personally and I reply to every single one.

Be part of what's next

Open the app, and if anything is missing - tell me. I read and answer everything myself.

From the bottom of my heart - thank you for being one of the 1,400.
